Following a successful career in engineering and manufacturing, in an array of roles including hands on, technical and managerial, I realised that my best abilities were not being fully utilised. In 1997 an insightful training course for managers sowed the seeds of personal transformation, and by the end of 1999 I knew where I was going. It took another four years to complete my training and make the necessary changes in personal circumstances to break free from my engineering roots and set up my practice in Rugby. The London College of Clinical Hypnosis provided a comprehensive training programme that encouraged a greater understanding of hypnosis and the psychotherapeutic components of hypnotherapy and developed the practical skills and confidence. I continue to provide student supervision at the LCCH courses run in Birmingham and now lecture on their behalf. I offer clinical supervision to British Society of Clinical Hypnosis members and I am also a volunteer youth mentor for the Coventry Youth Mentoring Scheme. |
